Cummins Allison Makes Donation to Aid Tornado Relief Efforts in Oklahoma



June 5, 2013, Mt. Prospect, IL – Cummins Allison has joined the relief effort with a cash donation to the Salvation Army to be used in the rescue and recovery efforts to aid the victims of the devastating tornadoes that hit Moore, Oklahoma on May 20th. Cummins Allison will also match any donations made by individual employees.


The company is dedicated to supporting its Oklahoma-area customers as they begin the healing and rebuilding process. “We believe it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to help the people of Oklahoma during this difficult time. We want our employees and customers to know that we’re all in this together,” said Bill Jones, CEO, Cummins Allison. “Private Industry has an opportunity to give back to the communities we serve and we wish to be a part of the relief.”


“Though the terrible storm that ripped through Oklahoma lasted only minutes, the rescue and rebuilding efforts to restore the community will last for weeks, months and years. As Americans we are there to help each other in times of need. Our hearts go out to the victims and we sincerely appreciate the dedication and much needed support that the Salvation Army and other organizations provide to them in their hour of need,” added Jones.

The Salvation Army is activating disaster response teams and mobile feeding units to help residents and rescuers in Moore, as well as in other locations in the Plains and the Midwest that were impacted by tornadoes. Donate online or text STORM to 80888 to contribute $10 to the Salvation Army's relief efforts or make a donation by phone at 1-800-SAL-ARMY. If sending a check, make sure to put the words "Oklahoma Tornado Relief" on the check, and mail it to: The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 12600, Oklahoma City, OK. 73157.
