Dual-purpose cash and check scanners can result in much time saved
Everyone's likely heard the old adage that time is money, and dual-purpose cash and check scanners show it to be true.
With that in mind, one might assume businesses and their employees would be well-practiced at saving time and streamlining processes at this point. However, one might be unpleasantly surprised.
One study from McKinsey & Company illustrated just how widespread the issue is.
"When we asked nearly 1,500 executives across the globe to tell us how they spent their time, we found that only 9 percent of the respondents deemed themselves 'very satisfied' with their current allocation," the organization stated. "Less than half were 'somewhat satisfied,' and about one-third were 'actively dissatisfied.'"
Meanwhile, only a little more than half (52 percent) of respondents said the way they spend their time is in keeping up with their organizations' strategic priorities.
"Nearly half admitted that they were not concentrating sufficiently on guiding the strategic direction of the business. These last two data points suggest that time challenges are influencing the well-being of companies, not just individuals," McKinsey & Company continued.
Little changes for big time savings
Streamlining your business, whether as an executive at a Fortune 500 company or simply a brick-and-mortar merchant, doesn't have to involve a large, complicated overhaul. Sometimes simply focusing on small changes to save time can make a big difference.
For instance, something as simple as how payments are processed at a business can greatly impact time spent. Checks and currency are generally handled separately by different employees. Such a method is far from efficient.
However, consolidating these processes with a dual-purpose cash and check scanner can help you eliminate deposit-processing steps, cut the costs of separate employees and workstations and maximize productivity.
