Cost saver for credit unions and new level of convenience for members
August 2, 2016, Mt. Prospect, IL—Cummins Allison, the leading innovator of coin, currency and check processing technology, as well as ATMs, today announced the addition of a mixed-bag coin-collection system and direct deposit interfaces to its line of Money Machine® 2 self-service coin counters.
Mixed Bag Collection System Enhances Ease of Use, Flexibility
Credit Unions with a large number of coin-saving members now have the option of adding a 16 mixed-bag machine to their business. “The new system makes it a more feasible option for customers whose limited pickup options have prevented them from offering coin counters in the past,” said Bob Gibson, vice president, branch operations, Cummins Allison. “Mixed-bag machines offer the all of the benefits and convenience of a bin, but their lighter-weight bags can be picked up by virtually any carrier.”
With 12 percent greater capacity than single-bin machines, mixed coin bag machines enable continuous processing, require less frequent bag changes and result in lower pick up and processing costs.
Direct Deposit Capabilities Offer New Level of Member Convenience
Two new direct deposit capabilities are also now available on Money Machine 2. Credit unions operating on Fiserv XP or Corelation can offer members the ability to deposit redeemed coin directly into their checking or saving accounts via touch screen or card DIP.
“Member satisfaction and increased foot traffic are important drivers behind credit unions investing in automation technologies. They let members help themselves at the branch and allow staff to focus on the relationship-building aspects of banking,” said Gibson.
