Money and ticket counters tailor benefits to efficiency-minded casinos
Fast, accurate and reliable money and ticket counters are what every casino needs when all eyes are on optimizing revenue.
Casinos in the U.S. are subject to both a high level of regulatory scrutiny and competitive markets. Managers must constantly think on their toes about the best ways to make their operation stand out from others in the region. Having the kind of technology that allows staff members to cut time counting out winnings for the guests that stream in every day is one of the most reliable ways to get out in front of the competition.
Money and ticket counters also come in handy when casinos are under pressure to continue showing revenue growth on a monthly basis. Two major metropolitan areas in the U.S. have benefited from recent good news in their respective gaming industries. According to Casino News Daily, casinos in Maryland achieved a record level of growth in May. Citing data from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Agency, the news site reported combined revenue in the region grew more than 8 percent compared to the previous year, reaching a total of $104.4 million. This is the second month in a row casinos in Maryland have sustained revenues of more than $100 million.
The gaming industry recorded similar growth in the Detroit area. Crain's Detroit Business reported the three major institutions in the city experienced a 1.5 percent increase in revenue in April from the previous month. Detroit casinos face a particularly high level of pressure to perform well due to the gaming taxes they pay to the financially-strapped city.
Much like the blackjack strategy chart doesn't guarantee a winning hand every single deal, there is no single playbook to ensure casino success. But no matter what the situation, money and ticket counters make sure staff members can optimize time at the cashier's booth and throughout the facility.
